Ambiance and the help from the staff as and when required,
The basic facilities like they had provided kettle for hot water but no tea bags etc.It is so very inconvenient for people like me to get the basic like tea in the morning and I dont really think that it is such a big expense may they can limit to couple of Tea Bags per day per room, I have travelled world over and stayed in all sorts of hotels but never had such problem. Rest most of the facilities etc. were at par with any good 3/4 star rated hotels. And may be a small microwave would be really appreciable in the rooms may be on request. And water cooler on each floor etc. would be great help to people like me since it is so inconvenient at times you are thirsty and you have to rush to market to get water since the Tap water is not drinkable. please make amend in your policies for these things. I would still recommend Y-Loft to business travellers.
Mtr- Public fast train transit system close by. Take elevator down, to 2nd floor, walk through public open art gallery, cross overpass and into mall. Follow signs to mtr. This is the Last stop (or first depending how you look at it) typically provides a seat on a typically full train. A seat on the train and being close to transit is important to me because of my limited mobility issues. Free Wi-Fi - Some hotels just do not offer it. Big rooms - The rooms are big, there are no double beds but compared to other hotels, the rooms are twice as big. The people at Y-Loft are friendly (Pink shirt staff) There is security around the premise to ensure guests are safe and check for hotel cards Shower Pressure - High pressure and hot water! Shower stall - Big and not joined with the toilet as in some other hotels
The location is away from the busy tourist areas, so be prepared for a 20 minute train ride back from Central or Admiralty station. The toilet is small with the walls close - a claustraphobic feeling There are no food or cosmetic items offered by other hotels (the price I felt should offer some basics) There was shampoo but no tea / coffee, toothbrush, shower cap, slippers, sewing kit etc)
Location is better than it seems to be when you look at the map. The best hotel judging by price/quality interrelation. Quiet district. Nice view on the cemetery from some of 14th floor balcony rooms. It is really very unusual. Clean and bright rooms.
The more hotel popularity grows the less attentive and client-oriented the staff becomes. There is only 1 worker in hotel's caffe. We were 8 people and we had been waiting about 40 minutes for our the most simple breakefast to be cooked.
The room is modern decoration clean and bigger than normal size(Hong Kong) Free wifi in room
A bit far from city center take 25 min train from central but hotel near MTR exit which is ok
Chai Wan may seemed a bit far if you look at the MTR map, but in fact it's very convenient going from here to everywhere else while Stanley is very close to Chai Wan. The rooms are clean and fresh and roomy and considering the price I got from Booked.net it was excellent value. The room service forgot to change the towels once but once I told them the situation they respond to it right away. Good service!
Rooms are comfortable, hotel is just over the metro station, very usefull!
Clean, tidy and new.
The running track is not opening, location pretty far from the airport and city centre.
cheap and near mtr station
far from town area
This was my third stay at Y-Loft. The staff have always been friendly and the price you pay is simple unbeatable for the comfort you get.
Located at Chai Wan, it does take approx. 25 minutes by MTR to get there from Central.
Just the opposite of the Metro line - it's a bit far (Chai Wan station) but the metro is quick and you got a seat at the terminal station. (approx. 30 mins to Central). Room is big - this could be a killer point compared with the life in Kowloon.
The hotel was very clean and modern. The staff is very friendly. Although it is located at the end of of the hk Island metro line, still very close because of great mtr (metro) system.
After midnight mtr closes, no bars in area of the hotel
For the price, in hk, Y-loft is really hard to beat. The staff were all extremely friendly and spoke very good English. The rooms were spacious (for hk) and very clean. The wifi in the rooms worked like a charm and there is wired Internet available too. There is also a small refrigerator in the room. There is a small fitness center and a coin laundry area (1 wash/dry was 30 hk$). The location was a bit far from the center, but if your goal is to save a few bucks, its still only 20 minutes to Central so not bad at all. Plus, the hotel, which is part of Y-Square, is connected to the mrt station by a footbridge so it's super easy to get the train. All in all, highly recommended.
Only small things were the location and lack of English channels on the tv. Nothing really important
Helpful staff. I was given another room when I showed them the bites from bugs in the bed, I had got in the first room.
Getting lost within the building due to the lift arrangements and poor directions. Bed bugs in the mattress. I came away with bites on arms and legs and very itchy and scratchy red spots. Not a mosquito..No manager onsite to complain too..
The price, combined with the room+hotel building and closeness to the MTR made this a real hit. The difference between the room and a 5 star hotel are small. The design and interior are superb, the HD tv is great, the bathroom+shower too!
Its a bit tricky to find the actual entrance and the check in since its on like the 8th floor and the outside of the hotel is confusing since part of the building is for the Youth Squares other things!
Location is convenient. MTR eateries and convenient stores nearby. Room is clean and beds are comfortable. Shower pressure is good. Enough hangers and wardrobe space.
Internet connection not stable. Not enough lights. Room and toilet dimly lighted.
